I’ve been playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons every single day since I got it almost a month ago and something that I really like doing in the game is making tons of money! There are various methods to do this but today I’d like to share my favorite.
So, here are my favorite ways of making money in Animal Crossing: New Horizons!
5. TARANTULAS
Everyone knows about the insane amount of money you can get from a single tarantula run and although I enjoy it, it’s not my favorite method because it’s such a chore and expensive! First, you need to spend 2000 Nook Miles to purchase a ticket, then you need to fly to another island and pray that you land on the Tarantula island or one in which you can make tarantulas spawn and still it’ll be tiresome cleaning up the entire island. And if you don’t land in one of these you just wasted your miles for nothing!
4. SELLING FRUIT
In case you don’t know, selling foreign fruit to your island will earn way more bells, and the same can be said when you sell your own fruit on an island that has a different native fruit. So, what I like to do every three days is to gather all my peaches and head over to my girlfriend’s island for a quick buck. Also, if you don’t want to rely on your friends to sell your fruit every time just bring over some of their to plant on your island!
3. FISHING
Fishing has got to be my favorite thing to do in Animal Crossing and since you can make money out of it I decided to put it on the list! It can be a bit of a gamble since you’ll not always get a rare fish but it’s a never-ending resource and you can get them quite easily at any time of the day. I usually get around 30-50k after filling my entire pockets which isn’t that bad!
2. MONEY TREE
Every day you’ll find these glowing spots on the ground and after digging them up you’ll find 1000 bells. What you need to do next is bury a bag of 30k bells so you can grow a money tree which in turn will earn you 90k bells after a couple of days! You can try burying more but it’ll be a gamble and you might end up losing money!
1. SELLING TURNIPS
Although all of the above are great ways of making money in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, they don’t stand a chance against selling turnips. Every Sunday Daisy Mae will appear on your island until 12pm to sell her turnips and the price is constantly changing. After purchasing them you’ll have to sell them to Tommy and Timmy until Saturday night or they will rot and you’ll lose all the money you’ve invested.
The selling price will also change every day at 8am and then at 12pm and the trick here is to sell them at a much higher price than what you spent. At first, I tried selling the turnips on my island and I only managed to turn my 400k investment into around 600k but on the next week, I spent those 600k turnips again and went to the Turnip Exchange. After a single trip, I became a millionaire, and on the next week I managed to pay every single house loan and I still had way too much money to spend!
