My way of celebrating Pokémon Day

Celebrating Pokémon Day

Today every fan is celebrating Pokémon Day, the day of the 22nd anniversary of this great franchise! I was looking forward to it because I thought that we'd finally see footage of the new Pokémon game for the Nintendo Switch. However, this was not the case. Instead, we got a new trailer for the upcoming Pokémon movie, which is titled 'Pokémon: Everybody's Story'

Honestly, this trailer didn't excite me much since I've lost my interest in Pokémon movies and the Anime years ago. I didn't even watch the last one! However, in the spirit of Pokémon Day, I might give it a try. It's a retelling of the first episodes of the series and the nostalgia factor might help me enjoy it!

However, just watching a movie isn't enough to celebrate Pokémon Day. To fully appreciate it I decided to finally finish my playthrough of Pokémon Crystal on the Nintendo 3DS, or at least get to the part where I can get Celebi, I'm so close! I bought this game last month but I mostly game on my Switch and hardly pick up my Nintendo 2DS XL. Hence why I haven't finished Pokémon Crystal yet.

Later in the day, I'll pick up Pokémon UltraSun for some VGC battles! I haven't played a competitive game in a while and I'm starting to miss it. Up until last summer, I was really into VGC but eventually, I lost interest and gave up... But this time I won't let this happen! The idea of using Mega-Evolutions and Z-Crystals in the same team really appeals to me. Also, in this format, you can finally use Pokémon from the National Dex which opens so many new possibilities! I might even post some battle videos codes once in while!

And that's how I plan to spend my Pokémon Day! Watching a movie, play through one of my favorite games and go online for some battles! How about you? How will you spend or have spent your Pokémon Day? Let me know!
