So, here’s how to Unlock Bandit in Dragon Marked for Death!
I just picked this game up again because of the new update and decided to purchase the DLC so I could play with the Bandit. However, he’s not unlocked right away and requires you to beat every quest in the DLC. So as I went through this process I wrote a bit about each quest and tried giving some helpful tips so you can play with the Bandit as quick as possible!
Quick note: I added some screenshots with the location of certain bosses and other important spots however they might be somewhere! From what I experienced some maps change their pathways each time you enter them.
1 – PURCHASE THE DLC
As I said before you must have the DLC, otherwise, you won’t’ be able to unlock Bandit.
2 – TALK TO LACEL
Once you purchase the DLC you’ll see Lacel outside the Bar, talk to him and he’ll give you a new quest.
3 – PICK THE QUEST EASTERN TREASURE
This is the quest given by Lacel and it’s very easy, just go through the dark area of the map, find your way to the boss and retrieve the mirror. This boss can poison you so be aware of that!
Then after a small cutscene, you’ll fight Bandit for the first time. He’s fast, hits quite hard, and can stun you so he might be a problem if you’re under-leveled.
When you’re done, walk around town and talk to Epos and then go to the bar where you’ll find four new quests called Werewolf Hunting, Dragon’s Struggle, Infernal Labyrinth and Hidden Hell
4 – WEREWOLF HUNTING
Here you’ll need to hunt a werewolf (obviously). You’ll encounter it a couple of times but you won’t be able to do any damage unless you have the silver charm which can be found after defeating another boss.
When you are done with this mission walk around town and talk to Pavo near the shop, she’ll then give you another quest. Also next to the Black Market you’ll find Apis who will also give another quest.
You have a lot of options here but for the sake of story continuity, I’ll choose to tackle The Bell Tolls next.
5 – THE BELL TOLLS
Again, you’ll need to hunt a Lycanthrope (another Werewolf) but this time you’ll need to ring a holly bell to defeat it. You’ll encounter the beast a couple of times and each time you do you’ll need to go back and ring the bell again. Also, there are some levers scattered around that close curtains in certain rooms. They are easy to come by except for one that is hidden in a dark area.
6 – HAUNTING GROUNDS
On the Haunting Grounds, all you have to do is locate three ghosts in the castle and give them proof that they are actually dead by finding their dead bodies. They are all easy to find, except for one of the ghosts that is hidden in a dark area.
7- PAYING MISER
This one is pretty simple, all you have to do is beat monsters and collect jewels much like Frozen Fusion. In my run, the only monsters that didn’t seem to drop any jewels were the Will-O-Wisp, the Cloudfish, the red goblins, the Asura Bats, the Tough Chicks, the Gold Beetles and the Skeleton.
Also, at some point, the monsters stopped spawning but there was this corridor where two Pale Goblins and a crab would spawn each time I went through it and would always get 65 points.
8 – INVISIBLE ANGER
Here you’ll be tasked to defeat an evil spirit but first, you must give your blood to 3 different scrolls which are really easy to find. After finding the first one you’ll find the second a couple floors above it to the left and the third one is a little further down the castle. After doing this a portal will appear for the boss fight.
9- DRAGON STRUGGLE
All you have to do in this one is find the bandit that is after the jewel and defeat him, very straightforward. Run to the end of the map and enter the portal to find him. He’ll run away and you must go after him until he enters another portal where you’ll have a boss fight. Small tip, you might want to defeat every single enemy first before reaching the first portal, it’ll make the chase much easier.
10 – INFERNAL LABYRINTH
This one is very straightforward as well, just go through the dungeon, find the boss, and kill it.
11- RESURGING FLAMES
In this mission, you’ll once again return to the labyrinth to kill a couple of bosses. They are all really easy except for the last two which you’ll have to fight at the same time. Although they both die easily one of them can constantly paralyze you with any of its attacks so I suggest going after that one first!
12 – HIDDEN HELL
We’re again on the Labyrinth but this time you must find the bandit and defeat it. The only difficulty I found was getting a certain door key which I couldn’t find no matter what, I then restarted the quest and found it after beating a random ostrich monster.
After completing these quests Cicona from the orphanage will be near the bar. Talk to her to receive the final quest.
14 – THE DRAGON’S HORDE
On Antrum’s Den, you’ll go from room to room and in each one, you must defeat waves of demons before reaching Bandit. While beating the Asura Bats is easy, defeating Bandit is no joke. He’s level 56 and he would almost one-shot me, and after I beat him he transformed and I got annihilated since I had no more healing items. I was at level 52 so I was probably under-leveled but still, I managed to beat after going online with a party!
15 – BANDIT UNLOCKED!
All done, that’s how to unlock Bandit in Dragon Marked for Death! Congrats and have fun playing with him!

13 quests for one character, and Bell Tolls has to be bar none one of the most boring, tedious, and aggravating quests ever made in any game. Literally threw my controller after all the back and forth. I hope this character is worth it, because the 10+ quest paywall is just too much…
