This week I barely made it due to how addicted I am to Cronos: The New Dawn. I just beat it, and I’m currently playing through New Game + because there are answers that I desperately need from the secret ending.
How’s everyone doing? Welcome to another Gamer By Mistake eShop Selects.
Each week I showcase the Nintendo Switch games you should not miss, and we have a solid list of games today!
With this said, let’s get right into this list, starting with the highlight of the week:
Highlight of the Week:
Henry Halfhead
For all of you puzzle game enjoyers, I present to you one of the wackiest ones you can play, Henry Halfhead. From the indie developer Lululu Entertainment, responsible for just a small title named Bamerang, also available on Switch.
You play as Henry, who is just a half-head with the ability to become any object he wants, much like how Mario can possess his enemies by throwing Cappy in Mario Odyssey.

You’ll need to help Henry complete several jobs by interacting with the world and making sure you are the right tool to complete it.
Also, thinking outside the box to find alternative solutions to challenges is a great way to find additional bonus content.
And, if you have a friend around, you can both play in co-op for a much wackier experience.
Notable Releases
Lego Voyagers:
LEGO Voyagers is a fun cooperative puzzle-platformer from Light Brick Studio, also responsible for LEGO Builder’s Journey, available on the Nintendo eShop as well.
Players take on the roles of two small LEGO bricks tasked with repairing a lost spaceship while journeying through a series of brick-built worlds. Its story is told entirely without dialogue, relying on expressive environments, music, and playful interactions.
Although you can play it in single player, the game was clearly designed with the co-op aspect in mind. So much so that you can ask a friend to download the Friend’s Pass so he can join your play session without owning the game.

The game was crafted to appeal to all ages with fun puzzles increasing in difficulty where you’ll need to rotate, stack, and rotate your Lego pieces to solve them, like in real life!
The ambiance of the game is relaxing, with each diorama-like level offering calm music, soft lighting, and playful details that make this Lego World a super chill experience and one I’m eager to play with my girlfriend one day, since we love these types of games.

Trails in the Sky: 1st Chapter
Trails in the Sky: 1st Chapter is a remake and the starting point for one of the longest-running JRPG series out there, Legend of Heroes. It was developed by the veteran Nihon Falcom, who is responsible for games like YS: VIII Lacrimosa of Dana, which also belongs to yet another franchise with dozens of games.
In Trails in the Sky, you’ll play as Estelle and Joshua in the Kingdom of Liberl as they aim to become Bracers, just like Estelle’s father. Their mission is to protect the cities and civilians by defeating monsters and criminals alike.

One day Estelle’s father leaves without much notice, and both take on a mission that might be more than they can handle.
From here the stage is set for a long 40-80 hour journey of pure JRPG goodness, filled with exploration, mystery, and a great cast of characters.
If you’ve never played a Legends of Heroes game, Trails in the Sky is definitely a great place to start without feeling overwhelmed by all the lore you are missing from previous games, since this is where it all began.
Shape Hero Factory
Shape Hero Factory is an interesting game from developer Asobism, who usually focus more on mobile gaming. Although I had the pleasure of playing Vivid World, which is set to release this year on Steam. I hope we get to see it on Switch as well, because that game is a super fun Roguelite.
Shape Hero Factory is a mix of factory simulation, Roguelite, and Tower Defense. You’re tasked to build a factory capable of creating adorable fighting machines capable of fending off your enemies.
Essentially this game is the answer to a simple question: What if Factorio was a Roguelite?
The game has a Switch 2 Edition, although I cannot confirm if it offers any additional features like mouse mode. Even so, this is definitely a game I’ll be adding to my wishlist.
Wander Stars
To close the notable releases of this week, we have Wander Stars, an indie game that easily stood out to me while browsing the eShop due to its 80’s anime aesthetic, heavily inspired by Akira Toryama’s magnum opus, Dragon Ball.
In Wander Stars, you play as Ringo, a young martial artist looking for her brother alongside Wolfe, a mischief running from their past. Although their relationship had a rocky start, they decided to partner up for a common goal, to collect the pieces of the Wanderstar Map.

What sets this game apart isn’t just the visuals and story presentation but also the way combat works. It’s a turn-base RPG where you attack by combining words, limited by your spirit level. As your spirit level rises, you’ll be able to join more words together, resulting in devastating attacks.
So, if you’re a fan of RPGs and anime from the 80s and looking for a fun episodic game to follow, then Wander Stars is the game for you.
Deal of the week

This week, I did not purchase a single game because, as I mentioned, I’m still enthralled by the world of Cronos: The New Dawn.
But that doesn’t mean there aren’t great deals going on right now that are relevant:
Since Hades 2 is set to release in a few days, you might want to pick the original Hades, which is currently at a 75% discount.
Also, Metroid Prime 4 is on the horizon, and if you want to check out the game that started it all, you can grab Metroid Prime at a 30% discount, which is a fantastic deal for such a good, polished game.
And to close things, One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 has a massive 80% discount, and since it will have a free update on Nintendo Switch 2, it’s a great opportunity to grab it for any One Piece fan.
